How long does it take for a landscape project to be completed?

This is a great question! Here we are going to break down how our process works and provide estimated timelines for each stage.

Each landscape project B Rocke Landscaping produces from design into construction is completely custom and tailored to each of our clients wants, needs & desires. Our process beings with the initial, complimentary consultation. We will meet with our clients at their home, property or job site to discuss ideas, design concepts & provide a Class 3 estimate of a ballpark preliminary price – generally this consultation runs 1 hour in length.

Once our clients have committed to our design services, this is when the fun begins! From the beginning stages of the design to moving into the construction stage, this timeframe can range anywhere from 4 weeks of planning to ~1 year of planning. During this phase we work hand in hand with our clients to ensure each detail incorporated into their space is strategic and personal to create the perfect outdoor extension of their space.

Construction, once the shovels hit the ground, can range anywhere from 2 weeks – 2 months. For example, a backyard ~50×50 with a 400 square foot patio, 650 square feet of decorative stone rock garden, 20 plants, 3 trees, could take anywhere from 1.5 weeks to 3 weeks to complete based on the order of operations. We try our best to be as transparent as possible with our clients regarding timelines with the intention to stick on a target schedule as much as possible. However, as we know the Manitoba weather (rain) can sometimes interrupt & cause unforeseeable circumstances leading to unavoidable delays.

For our larger scale projects ~100k+ these can take anywhere from 6 weeks – 16 weeks for completion. Our landscape designs not only involve plantings of trees, plants, building patios, etc. We also design and build custom decks, pergolas and outdoor gazebos with retractable screens to name a few!
